Book Launch and Conversation with Tim McCreight & Abby Johnston

Join us on October 11 for the launch of Marks of a Maker,

Abby Johnston’s insightful portrait of master jeweler

Tim McCreight. Both author and artist will be on hand

to discuss the publication and take your questions.

Created with heart by his former student and editorial assistant,

Tim McCreight: Marks of a Maker shines a compelling light on arguably the

most influential maker and educator in the field of jewelry. More than a

biography, this is an object lesson on how one maker can leave a lasting

and meaningful impression on the world.

How is it possible we don’t already have a book about Tim McCreight?

Tim McCreight is the epitome of what it means to be a maker. A metalsmith,

jeweler, writer, publisher, educator... He is out of this world creative, talented,

and skilled. As an educator, he is generous, kind, and community-minded.

The impact Tim has had on the creative world is a thunderous domino effect.

His work has influenced so many and unlocked skills and perspectives for

countless students and other makers and that’s why I support this book project

by Abby Johnston.
